History

Spartan is a limited liability company established in 1974 in Beirut with cooperation of Spartan Chemical Company, Inc. of Ohio, USA (www.spartanchemical.com). It is registered in the commercial register under No. 31105 and at the Lebanese ministry of finance under No. 601-10159 (VAT No.).

Spartan obtained a license to set up a factory to produce disinfectants and detergents in large quantities under certificate No. 414 issued by Ministry of Interior.

Our company was classified as 1st grade in the building existing on real estate No. 589 in the Area Mkalles, Maten District, Jalakh Building.

in the 1980’s

the operations of the company extended and developed, and has obtained a license from Ghobeiry municipality to set up and invest a warehouse/store to fill and prepare shampoo and cleaners in divisions No. 4, 5 of real estate No. 4438 at Beer Hasan area which is owned by the company.

in the 1992

Spartan moved its headquarters to Chweifaat area and kept its first two centers at Mkalles and Beer Hasan; the company obtained a license to set up a factory to manufacture disinfectantsand detergents and all kinds of shampoos. The location was also classified as first grade on real estate No. 889 of Al-Kobba area/Chweifaat.

in the 2000’s

In the 2000's, the operations of the company expanded further and as such opened branches in Tripoli and Bekaa to cover all of the Lebanese market: Spartan is today a pillar of the Lebanese Economy.

What we do

Spartan Chemical Company, S.A.R.L. (Spartan) is a prominent and leading manufacturer of cleaning products such as detergents, disinfectants, all-purpose cleaners, heavy duty cleaners, soaps, sanitizers, shampoos, gels in addition to a variety of other specialty products which includes drain openers, waxes and grease removal products.

Spartan serves both the retail and institutional markets as it owns extensive lineups specific to each market. Spartan covers the Lebanese market in its entirety and exports its products to other countries in the Middle East and Africa. All the trademarks owned by the company are registered in conformity with the laws and regulations of the ministry of economy and trade in Lebanon or the country to where it is shipped.

Export Operations

Spartan Chemical Company has established a strong international presence through the registration of its trademarks across the Gulf and broader Middle East, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Yemen. Beyond the region, Spartan also holds registrations in key African markets such as Egypt, Sudan, and member states of the OAPI (Organisation Africaine de la Propriété Intellectuelle), including Chad, Benin, Mali, Mauritania, and others.

Our high-quality, globally compliant chemical products are in strong demand and are exported to countries where performance, reliability, and adherence to international standards are essential.

In addition to its export activities, Spartan Chemical actively participates in major trade fairs and industry exhibitions—both in Lebanon and internationally—to showcase its product range and expand market reach.

Today, Spartan exports to the Middle East, GCC, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, and various African countries, reinforcing its position as a trusted supplier in the global chemical industry.
